Becuase:
1) It has been storming since Sunday.
2) It turned from rain to snow last night.
3) The river is going to be in "mild flooding" zone on Sunday.
:O
My best friend is studying abroad this term in Spain. This is dedicated to her, it will host all the things i wish I could say to her and wish she was here to experience with me. I love you Leah!

Wish Come True
You will be happy to know that I have a new job. It is the one I told you about Sober Drive. So I usually get home between 3 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday mornings and sleep in all morning.
I am sorry to let you down. I will not be waking you up too early anymore on the weekends. ;p

First Ciricle K Meeting
... DRUM ROLL PLEASE ...
We counted 82 people on the first night. After the meeting there was a rush to the table to sign up for volunteer spots! It was fantastic! I think that we will have more of a problem getting enough volunteer opportunities than finding willing volunteers!

Cobber Expo
Cobber Expo was a success! Tons of students signed up, and many were interested in volunteering (not just the rootbeed floats)!! We had a great time. And great new, Colleen was telling us that the MSUM football coach contacted the Kiwanis and he is connecting with Dan. He said that he wants his boys to be successful in everything and is going to have them volunteer!!

On The Campus
Leah,
Today marks the end of the first full week of school. And already everyone has a routine. I was sitting in class trying to figure out if it really was only the first full week - yes, sad the week has been that long for pretty much everyone!
Everything is revving up on campus. We had the first Acoustic Night last night and the second all campus movie tonight (the first was Toy Story 3 and tonight is Avatar). The Cobber Expo is tomorrow - I am dishing Rootbeer Floats. Circle K starts meeting next week, the Career Center and the LeadNow have both had meeting this week. Saturday the 11th will be the first football game of the season.
Things are rolling along, but nearly everyday someone asks me about you or will tell me that they miss you.
with love

Candy Land Night
"Start"
Caitlin working the dinner shift!
Gumball machines at Fresh.
The classic Concordia Chocolate fountain.
(She loves and misses you!)
At the very end (by where you get flatware) there was a table set up to make your own giant pixie stick. They were yummy!
PS: There were too many pictures to make the blog look nice. So I will post them on facebook. :)
Good News!
Yo, remember freshman year when we spent (literally) hours scrubbing the floors to get the black marks off from the chairs? Well, I have been proactive and but "no-scratch" felt thingies on the bottom of our chairs. We are officially freed from one of the many move out clean-ups!

Mi Casa, Su Casa
I just love that we both have construction going on outside our windows. We are suffering together but separately!

The Room (continued)
Ok, If you remember the pictures from the first entry. We have a very long (connected) desk. It goes from the window to the doow of our room. I put the fridge under the farthest nook (near the door) and the microwave above it on the corner of the desk. Of course, the food stuff in the cubes above it and then on the microwave cart..
The microwave cart is in this little nook between the wardrobe and the wall. It fits perfectly, the only problem is that there is a bar to hang stuff on (I can only assume jackets?) ... but we do have hooks hiding behind the door too.
Ok, so I think that where the chair is I will end up putting the TV (when I finally get it back from that darn BF). I think that having it by the wall (where the outlets are) is the best place for it, because I think that it would take up too much space on our desk (if it would even fit) and I don't want to block the window.

I hope that you approve of the set up!
Miss you!
Cabaret 2010
Cabaret 2010 was fun. We had some great acts and some not so great acts. There was the classic a capella group, some country covers and of course the Stix jazz group. But there was one group that went above and beyond ... a group of like 8 guys got together and danced to all the best pop songs from our childhood and now. Lady Ga Ga, N-Sync, Beyonce. They were great hoots and screams the whole way through!
We really missed you!

Moving In
Dearest Leah,
It was a hot and humid Sunday afternoon to move in on. I had the SUV packed and everything was heavy! Kristi and Michael helped me move my crap to the fourth floor into our modest room. When my eyes first absorbed the room, I was a little turned around from your drawing ... and then disappointed. The closet space is horrendous! What is Concordia thinking ... putting girls in dorms with next to no closet space! The prices we pay, we should get more!
(Right: All my crap. Below: Michael and Kristi - they were saints about helping me. I was crabby and sweaty!)
Getting settled in was a stressful matter, as I am sure you can guess from my personality type. (I am still moving some things around, and am totally unsure where to put the stuff Dan is bringing.) It was a long process, trying to figure out which clothing items to hang and which to put in the very tiny drawers.
I have you on the top bunk, just as planned, but the bed are really high. I mean, I nearly hit my head if I am not careful when I get in. But at least there is a lot of under bed storage? :p I am taking up most of the reachable shelf space. But have left your closet nearly completely alone (just the vacuum).
Tomorrow, I will do pick up stuff from Dan's house. It will be a process, but I will have this place cozy for you!.(I don't know if you can see them but the little heart lights are up on the wall.)
(Left: Our desk space. Right: My closet (just look how small and puny it is!)
